Sadly, not every missionary/preacher gets to retire in comfort. Sparrow Legacy is committed to helping the most vulnerable retired missionaries, providing them with financial relief by covering significant expenses, debt reduction, and basic housing and medical needs.

Understand the numbers
Missionaries serving from 1970's-2000's were offered little to no retirement plan for coming back to the states.
$125/month stipend for rent
Cannot collect on social security.
Missionaries are still receiving the same salary today as the 1970's.
Only 10% of funds went to retiremtent.
Retirement plans were self built, mostly around $100/month.
